Chief Operations Officer Appointed
Amscan International has appointed a new chief operations officer (COO) to support the ongoing growth and development of the company.
Neil Weaver joins from fashion and homewares retailer, Cath Kidston. Whilst at the company, he held the position of sourcing, supply chain and IT director.
In his new role, Neil will support the development of Amscan International’s global operations and ultimately be responsible for the end-to-end supply chain at board level after a phased transition.
Commenting on his appointment, Neil said: “Amscan International’s vertically integrated structure and supply chain strength is one of its key differentiating factors, which is testament to the capability of the company’s team and infrastructure.
“I look forward to further developing our supply chain operations to not only best serve our customers, but also help position Amscan International as the celebrations products market leader.”
Neil began his career as an engineer in manufacturing, before developing his supply chain experience within planning, sourcing, procurement and warehousing and logistics.
Prior to Cath Kidston, he has worked for personal healthcare products and consumer goods manufacturer PZ Cussons, and Pentland Brands, the owner of the Speedo, Berghaus, Ellesse, Endura, Canterbury and Mitre brands.
Amscan International chief executive, Joe Hennigan, said: “Neil is a strong business leader who brings with him expertise across multiple sectors, consumer product categories and brands in many territories.
“He has a strong track record of delivering commercial value to businesses and achieving strong returns on investment.
"We are very pleased to welcome Neil into the business. He will be a huge asset across the entire Amscan International group to support our ongoing growth ambitions.”
